Great complex! I was an out of state move, unfamiliar with the area. Miles was great about answering any questions, sending photos, keeping in touch in regards to the lease, my arrival. The manager Joanna was always very kind and helpful.
I felt very safe there, never had an issue with vehicle/apartment break ins. The maintenance staff is excellent. They were very fast (most of the time within a few hours of submitting a request), called/texted to confirm, professional, and got the job done every time. The landscapers were there 2x per week. Grounds were always well kept throughout the entire complex (not just by the office), with a large variety of colorful plants. It is not gated, but I'd always see staff/security driving around on a cart keeping an eye on things.
I was there for almost 2 years and lived in one of their renovated 2B/2B units and also their Junior 1B/1B unit. 10 minute drive to the beach, close to everything you'd need. It is located behind the county government building, so the large police presence across the street also provides an extra sense of security.
If I ever move back to the area, I wouldn't hesitate to lease from The Capes again!
Capes at Ventura: A Place You Can Call Home (Thanks to the Amazing Staff!)
I recently moved into Capes at Ventura, and I have to say, I'm incredibly impressed! But what truly elevates this apartment complex is the exceptional staff. From the very beginning, my leasing agent, Adrian Welcher, went above and beyond to make the process smooth and stress-free. He was incredibly patient, answered all my questions thoroughly, and even helped me find the perfect apartment for my needs.
The entire leasing team, including Nicole, Erin, and Emma, were also fantastic. They were always friendly, helpful, and made me feel genuinely welcome. Joanna Sanchez, Sr. Community Manager, deserves special mention as well. Her warm personality and professionalism made me feel right at home the moment I met her.
The maintenance staff, with Jacob, and Rodrigo? (Not sure of his name, sorry :( ) being a particular standout, is another big plus. They're prompt, efficient, and always friendly. It's clear that everyone at Capes at Ventura takes pride in their work and truly cares about their residents.
Overall, Capes at Ventura is a fantastic place to live. The apartments are spacious and comfortable, the amenities are top-notch, but the staff is what truly sets this place apart. They create a warm and welcoming environment that makes you feel like part of a community.
If you're looking for a new place to call home in Ventura, I highly recommend Capes at Ventura! You won't be disappointed.

We moved in September of 2019 the management and maintenance team was not the best in response time, even got into a heated argument with a lady in the office because our unit wasn't going to be ready for 3 more weeks after signed move in date and was basically homeless for 3 weeks while we waited (wont say who but she's gone now!). Since then the management and maintenance team are great! Miles is always happy to answer any questions. I can say 3 years ago this wasn't the greatest place to live but now thing have made a 360 turn around.

I had moved to Ventura during the summer from Sacramento. Nichole was kind, personable, genuine, more helpful then most property managers or leasing officials I have dealt with in the past. The few times I gave come into the office for general inquiries Joanna has always met me with a smile and bright attitude. Even Ricardo and the rest of the grounds crew are friendly fellas, at all times exchanging kind greetings with myself and other tenants.
The price is decent. The amenities are good. The location is good. The staff is great. What more could you ask for.
I have been a resident here for almost 7 years. During that time, I have had the good fortune of getting to know many of the office personnel and the maintenance crew. Of all of the great support staff here, my absolute favorite has always been Pedro. He is kind, helpful, friendly, and thorough. I was so sad when he retired. Even though he had good reasons for doing so, I hated to see him go. One of my happiest days was when I looked out of my dining room window and saw him across the way. His wave made my day. Pedro's work ethic is beyond reproach. We are so fortunate to have him working here!
We have consistently experienced the best residential support services. The staff is very friendly and helpful; anytime we have submitted a maintenance request, we have received a prompt respond. Whether it was changing light bulbs, plumbing or electricity; we have had quickly and professional response ensured that we have an optimal living environment.

Erin made our move easy from the start! Application process was smooth and quick. The unit was clean with many upgrades! We are very happy to be residents at Hacienda Villas.

Just wanted to say that I am extremely impressed with the working with of Joanna. She is the property manager and is absolutely phenomenal in helping me the needs of her tenants. I have worked with people in the past that just did not deliver or addressed my issue. She has fully heard me out and made things possible so that I am content with what needed to be done in my case. She is extremely professional, proficient, Eloquent in her delivery of attentiveness. She is the ideal manager for a property.
