Built in 1963 and extensively renovated in 2002, Harbor View features homes with balconies of varying sizes and with varying qualities of view. Each apartment has a flowing floor plan with lots of windows to showcase the breathtaking ocean, landscape, and hillside views outside. Conveniently located near downtown Ventura’s many retail and restaurant offerings, Grant Memorial Park’s miles of hiking trails, and the beach and pier, Harbor View also offers easy access to highways, trains and bus stations. Sitting high on a hill above town creates an atmosphere of removed tranquility and escape from life’s cares.

Lived here from 9/2005 until the Thomas Fire burned me out 12/4/2017. I got a job in Ventura and moved here in 2005, thinking I'd buy another house, here in town, in a year or two. I liked that it was month-to-month; no lease to break if I bought a house. I was surprised I stayed as long as I did. The great views and ease of apartment living, where all the problems are quickly solved by the on-site staff (generally while I was at work) was quite seductive. Rent was higher than my budget, but reasonable given the ocean view. I saw living here as a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Neighbors were great! If I had to mention issues, it would be that the bldg. was old (1963) and the windows, etc were worn out and leaked. Management offered to replace stuff but I declined because I didn't want my cats bothered with extensive construction. All in all, it was fabulous and I recommend it if it fits your budget and lifestyle. Pic was taken from my kitchen window the morning after the election in 2016
