I lived in B9 for nearly three years ( 2021- 2023), and they were truly some of the best years of my life. During my stay, I had the pleasure of residing in three different apartments, each offering unique views: one facing the dog park, another overlooking the pool, and the third with a view of the courtyard. My absolute favorite spot was by the pool, where I enjoyed sunlight all day long. The squirrels on my balcony became my constant companions, always visiting and keeping my dogs company. B9 is unquestionably a pet-friendly community; my two Westies had a blast at the dog park and even got to join in on special pool events for dogs. The management team, especially Stephanie and Louise, were exceptionally competent and supportive. They went above and beyond to assist my family during our time here. When my baby was born, they surprised me with flowers and a heartfelt card that I cherish to this day, celebrating her arrival. I appreciated the convenience of having numerous restaurants and supermarkets nearby; Harris Teeter just across the street and Whole Foods a mere five-minute walk away. One of my favorite routines was strolling to Mad Hatters for coffee and treats with my dogs and baby in tow—a truly safe and enjoyable experience. Living here meant being just a 10-minute bike ride or 5-minute drive from Fuqua, which was incredibly convenient. The barbecue area by the pool quickly became my go-to spot, and the 24-hour gym was always clean and well-equipped. I loved attending the monthly events with complimentary food; they added a delightful community spirit to my time here. I will fondly remember my three years at B9 with immense gratitude and joy. I wholeheartedly recommend this building to anyone seeking a safe and welcoming environment for themselves and their family."

I LOVE this place! The office people are so helpful and friendly, Jake and Louise help me many times. Great location in 9th street and located within walking distance from Harris Teeter and Whole Foods and bus stop to Duke, it's really convenient.

Extremely helpful when I was looking for somewhere to live during a training program in Durham. The staff is freindly, and the property is awesome! Stephanie was always courteous and professional when I needed to reach out to management about anything!! Love these guys

I can’t say enough great things about the team at Berkshire. This is our family’s second stay at B9, and we returned for many reasons. The property, location, amenities, and exceptional customer service are unmatched. As someone who works in customer success, I give this crew an A+. A special shoutout to Louise, Jake, and the young man at the other Berkshire location whose name I can’t recall—they’ve all gone above and beyond for our family.
