My fiancé and I lived at Waterman's Crossing for seven years, across two different apartments. First off the location of the complex is one of the best in the city. Throughout our stay, we encountered few issues, and when we did, Crystal and her team made genuine efforts to resolve them fairly. The maintenance staff was always friendly, professional, and efficient. Parking was consistently available and among the best we've experienced in the area. Both of our apartments were surrounded by friendly neighbors, and the environment was generally quiet. Both apartments were located on the third floor.
The only downsides were the increased foot and vehicle traffic during peak times of the year, like summer and the holiday season, due to its location between the mall and a central shopping center in Newport News. Unfortunately, this foot traffic occasionally led to auto break-ins. Despite these incidents, the community remained generally safe.
We have been at Waterman's Crossing for over 4 years now and it has been a very positive experience. Crystal is a wonderful manager, leader, and person. She and her staff do everything they can to make the residents feel valued and heard. Any time I have to go to the leasing office for a matter or question, I am met with smiles and professionalism. The kindness and helpfulness of Crystal and her staff helps us feel very comfortable. They also give out surprise treats throughout the year for various holidays/special occasions. May seem like a small thing to some people, but those surprise treats always make me so happy lol. There is also a pool, fitness center (24 hour), dog park, tennis court, and volleyball court. And there is a new outdoor lounging area with very nice seating, new grills, and tables with built-in fire pits. All of the amenities are nice and clean.
Our maintenance gentlemen are excellent as well. Mike and Ego work very hard to get work-orders resolved as quickly as possible. Mike actually just came today and fixed our AC within only a couple hours of receiving the work order. And Ego goes around the complex checking for trash early each morning to make sure the complex looks as nice as it can. It's quite a large complex and we truly appreciate their efforts and commitment. They are always friendly and willing to help out in any way they can. Mike may even have a dog treat or two in his golf cart if you see him while walking your pup.
We have lived in 4 different complexes in Newport News over the last 10 years but we've stayed here for almost half of those years because this has been the best rental experience we have had so far. We highly recommend Waterman's Crossing. :)

I have lived at Waterman's Crossing for over a year and have always been promptly assisted with any apartment problems or billing issues. They have a great pool area, tennis court, volleyball court, as well as a gym with dumbbells that fills any quick work-out needs. Crystal, the project manager, has personally spent her time nullifying any issues that I had received and ensured that my time at Waterman's Crossing was care-free. She, as well as her coworkers, have been a friendly and welcoming atmosphere which has made me feel special as a customer and renter. I have already recommended four separate friends to also move in here and would recommend it to anyone else that is looking for an apartment complex in a well-kept and safe area of Newport News. Been a resident here for over 5 years now and it has been the best apartment community I have lived in. Amenities, appliances, floor plan options and safety are top notch. It's mostly families, collage students and military so you actually get a sense of community. The management team specifically, Crystal the property manager, have always been kind and personable, she really gets to know her residents and does everything she can to constantly improve the community. Would hands down recommend looking into this neighborhood if your moving to the area.

Crystal was super amazing with the amount of assistance she provided! Even though we decided to stay put and not move to Waterman’s, I strongly recommend the complex for anyone looking to move ! We will for sure keep Crystal and waterman’s in mind when we decide to move again!
I lived on the Property for 5 years. I love the property and the area, the property is well kept and very well managed. The property manager Crystal and her staff take pride in taking care of the property and it shows. I have recommended several friends & co workers to Waterman Crossing 5 star complex! I recently moved but didn't want to just had to buy a house. Anyone looking for a complex, you wont be disappointed. I wish I had more thumbs to give it more thumbs up!
Living here is wonderful. The location is super convenient, located between Target shopping center and Patrick Henry Mall. The property stays maintained and cleaned. All maintenance needs are handled quickly. The office employees are extremely professional and helpful. Crystal, especially, she goes out of her way to make all residents comfortable and makes sure they feel welcomed.
