I’ve lived in City View twice and have loved living there since the building and units are really nice. However, both times they have ripped us off on our security deposit blaming us for crazy things. We had the apartment professionally cleaned before moving out and they still charged us a huge cleaning fee and sent us an invoice that their cleaners spent 7.5 hours cleaning an already clean apartment. They also charged us for a bunch of other stuff being “beyond normal wear and tear” which is a huge stretch considering we kept our apartment in great shape. They also said we had a huge glass chunk missing from the stovetop which wasn’t true and we even sent them photos that we had taken on the day we moved out showing there was nothing wrong with the stove, but after emailing back and forth with them they refused to give any portion of our security deposit back. It’s really unfortunate and disappointing because if it weren’t for all the security deposit issues we have experienced (twice now), I would definitely recommend living there. However, this has been a huge headache and leaves me a very bad impression of City View.

The management of this apartment constantly enters tenants' units. If you choose to live here be prepared to have someone enter your apartment at least once a month, but usually more. Every unit is a showing unit under City View's lease, so during the Fall of each year at least 10 different showing of one's apartment will be done by management (showings are done late into the night on weekdays past normal work hours and on weekends). While this may be to the advantage of new tenants, this drives away tenants already living in the units. In addition, City View constantly enters units to "change filters", "check furniture innovatory", and other unnecessary/invasive maintenance checks throughout the year. I have only ever experienced such checks during move out with other Madison leasing offices, so this does not seem to be standard practice in the city.
