I have lived here for 3 years, and I cannot recommend this property enough. My stay could not have gone any better. I do not have one complaint that I can think of, which has never been the case for any other apartment that I have rented.
The building is beautiful and high-end, with a picturesque, open-concept lobby and lounge. The rooms/closets are spacious, clean, and upscale. The wood flooring, bedroom carpet, and kitchen/bathroom counters and cabinets are of great quality. Maintenance comes promptly and does the job well. I was struck by how thick and insulated the walls and doors are - I hear no noise at all from my neighbors above and adjacent to me. The only noise I hear is when people walk by the front door.
The amenities are great, from the pool to the gym (which is the best apartment gym I have seen, with multiple rooms for weights and cardio, including Pelotons) to the theater room.
The area is safe and they have security in the garage to ensure no car thefts, etc. I have never had a problem with my car or security, which is rare is Houston given the level of tire theft, car break-ins, etc. common in other apartments in the area. I have always felt safe walking around the area at night.
Amy, the property manager, has been kind, professional, and has always worked with me to ensure my satisfaction. I have been able to discuss changes in rent, etc. with her and she has gone above and beyond to ensure that both parties are satisfied in a reasonable manner. The rest of the office staff has been fantastic as well. Emails about any updates come promptly and there is great communication. The staff are engaged with creating events, recruiting food trucks, hanging decorations, etc. to constantly make the property lively and exciting, and to make it seem a home.
I will be sad to leave. Cannot recommend this property more.
We are thrilled to call Windsor at West U our home! From the moment we moved in, we've been enjoying a safe, clean, and beautifully decorated environment. The amenities here are top-notch, making our living experience even more comfortable and enjoyable.
A huge shout-out to the leasing office staff - Jennifer, the Amy's, Joelle, Karla, Richard, and Jasmine. They have been absolutely wonderful to work with, always ready to assist with a smile.
Special thanks to the maintenance team, especially Caleb and Julio. When our AC went out in the middle of the night, they were quick to respond and had it fixed in no time. Their dedication and efficiency are truly commendable.
The location is unbeatable! We love being so close to Rice Village, with its vibrant atmosphere and convenient access to shops, restaurants, and more.
If you're looking for a great place to live, we highly recommend Windsor at West U. It's been a fantastic experience for us!

My boyfriend and I have toured many places, and the tour we received at Windsor West U was by far the best. Jasmine was extremely professional and thorough. I tend to ask thousands of questions, but she seemed to anticipate everything I had in mind and answered them before I could say anything. I was impressed. She was a pleasure to meet.
Overall, the property itself did not suit our needs. Some pros: the location is great, pricing is somewhat fair, and it was reassuring to hear that the property did not lose power during Hurricane Beryl. However, the finishes (dark cabinets) were not my favorite, and the overall property is a bit too large for my liking. While it didn't suit our needs, it is definitely worth taking a look at for yourself.
I lived in many cities and even more apartment complexes. This is by far the best experience I've had thus far for the following reasons:
- The staff exhibited the utmost professionalism and promptness.
- The neighborhood is the heart and soul of Houston.
- I aspire to buy a house in the area one day:-)
- Overall very safe, quiet and clean. My three priorities.
- I'm only moving due to a job transfer.

I recently moved out after living here for 2 years. If I was staying in Houston, without a doubt I would live here again.
The front office team is on top of any issues. There was a fire during the ice storm of 2021 that activated the sprinklers and flooded many floors. They were very professional and communicative throughout that process.
The amenities are well maintained. I loved the gym and pool here. I also felt safe. They have quick open/close roller garage gates so it’s harder for cars to sneak in behind you. Once when the door was malfunctioning, they even hired a security guard at night who stopped every car and confirmed residency status.
The fees are on the higher side, about $60-70 a month on top of rent, but the rent was still pretty reasonable. Given the fit and finish of the apartment, the wonderful surrounding West University community, and the amenities, I felt it was actually a pretty good deal living here.
The only thing I could say to improve is that it’s been very hard to reach the office by phone. The number always takes me to some district office rather than the actual front office and I don’t always get a call back when I leave a message with them. I’ve found that the best approach is to go to the front office itself, but you never know when they’re busy with a tour.

I've lived here for two years, and I'm loving it. The people at the front desk are kind and diligent with friendly expert customer service, the mechanics and janitors (looking at you, Oscar and Roberto!) are quick, efficient, responsive, and always on the ball, and the leadership team has even allowed me to start up a community library in the conference room. That's not to mention the countless parties by the pool, the 24/7 gym (which recently got remodeled and improved!), and the other innovative improvements constantly being implemented like the Stockwell vending machine. This place is constantly evolving. Hands down one of the best experiences I've ever had at any apartment complex.

My experience here was been beyond remarkable. From the property leasing and management team, to the maintenance team, the beautiful property and superior location – I was completely satisfied from beginning to end. The property is always clean and well kept. I love the amenities here, and the gym is super nice. It’s in one of the best locations in Houston. Super walkable to a lot of things such as convenient stores, restaurants, coffee shops and much more! The move-in process was extremely smooth. Honestly, there’s no complaints whatsoever. The only reason why I decided to move out was due to the rent increase. Other than that I HIGHLY recommend living here if you’re looking for a place to move. I loved my experience at Windsor West U!
We have a large one-bedroom apartment with nice appliances, lots of light and storage space,, a built-in desk, and double sinks in the bathroom. Staff really tries to make us feel at home. They respond quickly to maintenance requests and regularly offer opportunities to interact with our neighbors. There is interior parking, a gym, pool, access to a printer, and lockers for secure package delivery. This is a great new home for us!
