Terrible place to live. First off was when we initially got accepted to move in back in October. She called, told us we were good to move in and then ghosted us for a month (should have been a clear sign). Next, we finally hear back asking if we were still interested and we reluctantly agreed. Move in date was scheduled for December 1st so we pack up all of our things and get ready for said date. We try multiple times to contact the office beforehand and make sure things were set and how move in day would go in terms of keys and such. Less than a week before moving day were finally told that it's getting pushed back until the 15th because the counters had to be installed (look like old used counters to me). We move in, aren't given a key to the laundromat nor were we told that we even needed a key so that was something we found out after the fact. We come in to a dirty apartment with mold and caulk all over the shower and bathroom, a window that wouldn't close because it was put on backwards, the most disgusting dishwasher I've ever seen which was also missing an entire rack, a sliding door that was propped up against the back door, not on the track. The list goes on. We reach out to maintenance multiple times and are unable to get a hold of anyone. We let it go and take care of what we can by ourselves in the meantime. Next is the 1st month of free rent we weren't compensated on initially. We're told that because our move in date was halfway through the month (something out of our control), they had to contact rushmore to find out if we are still eligible. Obviously this is bullshit so we keep trying to call for updates and don't hear back or get a response for months. Finally my boyfriend goes in person to the office and she happens to be there and says she's email them again but that it might only be for the second half of December. Once again something we didn't agree upon. Also we are finally given a laundromat key after a few months at this point of not being able to get a hold of anyone only to find out most of the washers and dryers don't even work anyway. We're now 6 months into our lease, already planning our escape when we receive a $275 peco bill for our small 1 bedroom apartment where only the 2 of us reside. That's almost 3 times what we've paid thus far even in the dead of winter. As I'm typing this we have water pouring in from the outlet and moulding in our kitchen from the rain. We are paying almost $2k when all is said and done.we pay EVERYTHING including our 1 parking spot that the paint is so faded on you can't even read it. We aren't the type of people to complain a lot, we've let a lot of things go in the time we've been here, but now we have to worry about being electrocuted when it rains? Unbelievable terrible place to live. Rushmore needs to rethink their business plan before this place collapses on itself or gets overrun by pests or mold. If you value your sanity and hard earned money, look elsewhere. Update 12/1/24: Cathy has been an absolute blessing to deal with. We were initially planning on leaving entirely once our lease ended due to the issues listed above, however the location is convenient for our commutes so we decided to explore the idea of downsizing to a more affordable unit. While I still stand by my initial review and the nightmare we've dealt with since being here, Cathy has been very prompt in her responses in regards to transferring us to a new unit. We have had little to no issues since moving into our new unit, and we finally have some peace of mind knowing that if we do, we'll be able to get a hold of somebody.

Aida has been extremely helpful and pleasant to work with. She has addressed all my needs and concerns and made it very pleasant for me to live here. Maintenance has resolved all my issues and ensured that everything in my apartment was up to date and working properly. Thank you.
