Wellington is the best place I’ve lived in! Jess and John are so friendly and communicative, and as a tenant I feel like I’m always being heard. Maintenance is extremely timely and the facilities are great. You don’t find a property management company like this anywhere!!

I lived at Wellington Place for six years and can honestly say it is a hidden gem in Medford. During those six years, I experienced nothing but professionalism from the management staff and an always helpful maintenance team. For starters, the free ample parking and amenities are hard to find in this area. Compared to other apartment complexes in the area, the entire complex constantly adds improvements for residents. Throughout my time there, I saw new grills added to the pool area, a fire pit, outdoor TV, and constant upgrades to the gym. These are just some of the reasons I called this place home for so many years.
Although this complex is not brand new, the management does a great job keeping its appearance clean and pays attention to detail that most companies this size do not. I highly recommend Wellington as a great place to live that offers a competitive rent rate for the area plus added benefits that make this place feel like a community.

Moving is never easy, even less so after 25 years in one place, then add medical constraints and time restrictions and it becomes overwhelming and beyond stressful. The staff at Wellington Place, specifically Jessica and John, made it a seamless transition and positive experience. Jessica worked tirelessly to get my paperwork processed. She was patient, understanding and offered continuous assistance throughout the entire process, checking in frequently. I can not praise or thank her enough for her kindness, endless efforts, constant reassurance & consistently pleasant demeanor…and quite funny as well. The unit is spotless, grounds are meticulously manicured and amenities/community spaces are beautiful. I am looking forward to settling in and utilizing the amenities. 5 stars is no where close enough to an adequate rating!!
I recently moved to the area and the management team at Wellington Place made me feel right at home. From the first moment I was in contact with Kim, from the leasing office, she was incredibly helpful, positive, knowledgeable, and patient. She answered all my questions, helped me understand the area, and made me feel extremely comfortable. They have created such a great community at Wellington Place, and I am so happy to be part of that! I highly recommend!
We moved in from out of state as we needed to live out of boxes on a temporary lease while we were house hunting. We got here less than a week before before the COVID shut downs so we didn't get to use the amenities like the pool, gym, BBQ area but it all looked nice.
While the apartments are nice, I would say the construction of the cabinetry or the appliances aren't quite the best quality, it all looks nice and it all works which is the most important thing.
I've lived in apartment complexes before and some of them bank on hitting you for fees especially at move-in and move-out. This is not the case. The staff from the maintenance people to the management are attentive and actually care. A case in point: we had a cat which is $50/month pet me. He was an old man and got sick. We had to put him to rest. We had already paid our rent and they had no problem crediting back the monthly pet fee and adjusting the rate.
There is a package locker here but most of the time the Amazon workers don't care and dump the packages in the lobby of the building you're in. No amount of correspondence from the management here could ever possibly rectify that because the people delivering the packages don't get paid enough to care. As a result, some packages end up in weird places. On a couple occasions someone from the staff had actually brought over some things outside our door, which was much appreciated especially during the height of the COVID outbreak when we were limiting our entrance and exit through common areas.
The one time I had to file a noise complaint it was handled immediately.
This is the place where you're walking around and the maintenance staff will ask you how you're doing. Stop and ask to see if everything is all good and make sure nothing doesn't need to be fixed.
We moved out because we found our perfect home. We didn't hold our breath thinking they could re-lease the unit but we were able to get off the last month and one week of rent owed because someone leased the unit we vacated.
We had no issue getting the deposit back - minus the replacement cost for the blinds our toddler broke.
We really liked the short distance to the ALDI and Stop And Shop and other places. Would've loved to have been able to frequent the bar up the road, it was just opening up its outdoor space by the time we moved.
A+ no regrets. Thanks Todd, Craig, and everyone else.

We absolutely loved our apartment! The building, the area (walkable to liquor store, restaurants, gym, Orange line, nail salon, etc.), the property management team - everything was amazing. We unfortunately had to move back home due to family circumstances but we were so bummed to leave. I highly, highly recommend it!!

If I could leave a ten star review, I would! We lived here for six years, and we’re only leaving because we are relocating for work. We felt welcome, comfortable, and respected from our tour all the way to moving out. Wellington Place offers the ideal combo of well-maintained units and grounds, friendly and responsive staff, and a quiet neighborhood with walkability to shops, convenience, and transit. Plus they are dog-friendly and parking is included in rent.
APARTMENT
Everything was spotless and functional when we moved in. Big elevators make transporting groceries and large items in and out of the building easy. Kitchen has nice appliances and plenty of storage for your foodstuffs. Bedroom is big, we had a queen and a full bedroom set in there with room to spare. Walk-in closet too! The nook in our unit worked great as a home office and extra storage.
AMENITIES
Mail - packages normally get left in the lobbies of each building and there’s a mail center in each building. I never had a package stolen, but there is another complex across the street (28 9th Street) that packages for 28 Brainard would get left at sometimes.
Fitness Center - There is a lovely gym onsite with everything you need!
Pool - pool, deck, and lounge area are great in the summer. There’s grass, grills, and lawn chairs and you can access the clubhouse WiFi too.
Fire Pit - the fire pit is my favorite! It’s a great area to host friends and chill.
Dog Park - this is clutch!!! It’s a fenced in park with an obstacle course, shared toys, a hose, and a kiddie pool in the summer. Our pups loved it! It’s almost never crowded and it’s only for residents so if you want space/privacy it’s perfect.
MANAGEMENT/MAINTENANCE
Everyone at the office is friendly, kind, and knowledgeable. I cannot state enough how welcomed we felt during our viewing and when we first moved in. Living there for as long as we did, we submitted our fair share of maintenance requests, and they were addressed promptly and we were always happy with the fix. A couple appliances were replaced when they stopped working, no questions asked. Trash/recycling and other common areas are kept tidy. The exteriors of the buildings and the gardens are always well-maintained and look nice. Snow removal was always communicated well and done in a timely fashion.
NEIGHBORS/NOISE
There are reviews that mention thin walls and noise from neighbors - yeah, you can hear your upstairs neighbors walking around sometimes and the occasional conversation from the hallway, but that’s just what apartment living is like. The majority of the residents are quiet and chill. Our unit faces out into the parking lot, and conversations can carry up if the windows are open, and you can hear the train but you’ll get used to it quickly. Management puts together community events once a month or so with snacks, games, etc so there are opportunities to meet your neighbors!
NEIGHBORHOOD
I loved living in this little corner of Medford. Getting into the city is super easy on transit. You’ll be a 5-10 minute walk from the Orange Line, just four stops to downtown Boston! This is a very walkable, quiet, safe neighborhood close to many things. If you want bars/shopping, Assembly Row is just over the river. Malden Center is a mile in the other direction and offers a fantastic variety of locally owned restaurants and breweries. Costco, Target, and Home Depot are nearby in the Gateway Center. Wegman’s is less than a mile away and open until midnight; there’s also a Stop&Shop and an Aldi. There’s a 24 hour CVS a couple blocks away. Lots of walk/bike paths on the Malden and Mystic Rivers nearby. The Fells is a 15min drive and full of amazing hikes! Easy access to I-93, MA16, MA28!
PETS
This is a pet-friendly community with lots of dogs of all sizes! We adopted our dogs after we moved in, and management was very supportive and responsive during the process.

It's been a couple of weeks now that we moved in. We love the location. We selected the place remotely, so there was some uncertainty associated, but after a couple of weeks of regular schedule, I can say that it was a good decision on our end to choose Wellington Place. The unit is nice. I like the morning sun. Our unit faces the train line. People have mentioned about the sound from the train. It is there, but nothing that bothers me. Everything you want is in walking distance. The Wellington station is 7-8 min walk. The mystic park is a jog away. The gym is good. Guest parking is there, which is also nice. There are a couple of things about the unit design I'm a little nitpick about, but I think I'm getting used to it. Overall, will recommend.
