Could be worse, h2 made this place better for sure. There are still roaches everywhere but you just need to get in the habit of spraying with raid on the edges of your unit. Also shockingly safe have had no noise issues and neighbors are really friendly

My first few months in Fox hall were great. Free internet, free TV, and you can't ask for a better location. As I lived there and maintenance issues arose is where the biggest problem came into play and why I would discourage many people from living here. If a storm hits and knocks the internet out the whole complex is out (I had neighbors texting and asking me) and you have to call the number and wait 30 minutes on hold to talk to somebody and go through troubleshooting with them when you clearly know what the problem is. Then once I got somebody out it took them a WEEK an entire WEEK where majority UAB students were without internet use. We were fed up so we called Charter and tried to get them to come run wires so we could start paying for some reliable internet which they then told us the apartment wouldn't allow. Also the speeds on the internet are extremely slow and online gaming lags a lot at night because as they explained to me "more people are on in your complex at night" I find that inexcusable especially when I can't even try and pay for better service. Second maintenance is just awful I don't even know where to start. When spring rolled around we found out our air conditioner had gone out. Okay thats fine this happens. So we call the number and they come out tell us the compressor is broke and they would order a new one. They send someone out 3 days after telling us this. Someone who barley speaks english to tell me that he doesn't know so I call the front office. Long story short I was being told several different things that I didn't know what to believe but it always ended in "someone is coming tomorrow". Eventually after a week and a half (thats no exaggeration it was a week and a half no AC) it was fixed only to find three days later it is out again and realizing they must have just rigged the thing. So long story short free things are nice but not reliable and if your air or internet goes out at this place you're in for the long haul. I really wish I could put a good review but when you run into unnecessary problems like this its kind of unavoidable and I feel as though people should know and I would've liked to have known before coming here.
