John W from plumbing did an excellent job and went above and beyond to make sure that the issue at hand was well taken care of, especially considering that it was on a weekend. He was very professional and kind and provided an exemplary service. Thank you John and Brewster Place Apartments.
Hands down, I am really happy to call this place my home :)
The real difference came in when they brought in the new manager, Cole (to corporate, take care of this one he is a gem and hard working manager). I've lit. seen him working late on Fridays and with his own hands doing landscaping to improve the outside appearence of the place.
The changes are obvious in his short time here: improvement of aesthetics in common areas, better communication, and real caring for the residents!
If this property was still under the supervision of the last manager, my opinion would be very different for sure, or I would already be gone by this point!

I will come to St. Paul campus to do a post doc. I like Brewster apartments but I have a few questions. Is there any noise from the railroad or traffic? Is there transportation to the St. Paul campus? Will I be able to park my car and is the neighborhood safe?
I have been in the US for 16 years and always lived in University apartments. In October of 2020, I moved out to Brewster place, which is a private apartment. It was only 2-3 blocks away from where I lived until then, and the transition was easy. In a previous review, I wrote about the spaciousness, safety of Brewster place and and proximity to my work place which were the driving factors that led me choose this apartment to live. This time, I thought I must also write about Jenn Schulz, the community manager at Brewster Place, Saint Paul.
I have heard from friends that private apartments are not managed very well, and the toughest part is they do not respond to maintenance request. Also, the life in private apartments can be a lot easier and happier, if you have a nice property manager. In my experience, Jenn as property manager at Brewster is doing wonderful job. I felt very impressed about her in our first meeting as she appeared polite, friendly and always welcoming with effervescent smile. Overtime, I learned that Jenn is also very meticulous and always willing to go above and beyond the call of duty. I rented the apt at Brewster Place on Oct 1 (Thursday), but moved in on Oct 3 ( Saturday) and suddenly realized that the entire pipe line connecting the kitchen sink is clogged. I emailed Jenn and she responded immediately even when it was a weekend by providing me
the contact # to reach emergency services, which I found is not looping always into automated response. Up on informing Jenn, She quickly reached out to fix the automated set up for answering calls in their office
and also reached out to emergency services to sent a maintenance personnel. The clog was beyond what this personal could fix and then he worked with Jenn to arrange for an external private party to show up and drill all the way to main sewage pipe to fix the issue in 3-4 hours. Jenn's support was simply stunning!
We are living in odd times (pandemic and uprising) and these times require escalating safety efforts for the building. Jenn rose to the occasion by restricting the access to the buildings to only the apartment owners who possess keys. It is reflective of how much she cares for inmates that include people of diverse ethnicity, color and other factors. She also treats all inmates equally, be it citizens or internationals, and thus makes us feel being in a community. I also believe that the Halverson and Blaiser group is very lucky to have people like Jenn as community manager is an understatement, but they must be proud about it.

My husband and I had just moved here in the middle of November so it hasn't been long. I will say in the short time that we have lived at Brewster Place Apartments it has been amazing! Jenn Schulz was amazing throughout the move-in process and is always there to answer any questions we have! The emergency maintenance crew is also great and quick to get there. I am so glad we chose to live here.

I have lived here with my SO for 3 years now and we have always felt taken care of. Cole is a great property manager that is putting in a lot of work to keep the place up to date (new roof, resealed parking lot, new mailboxes, new light fixtures, energy efficient faucets and light blubs, etc). The building is a short walk to campus which is a plus for us as grad students because there is no parking on campus. The living space is standard and having a garage is nice for extra storage and keeping my car safely locked up ($50/month extra but worth it!). Residents are nice and pets are welcome so its nice to see everyone's dogs outside and occasionally give them a pet. Overall I would definitely recommend this place, I have been in bad apartment/landlord situations before and this place is definitely not that! If you are a student, live here.

Compared to other places I lived at, this is definitely the best one by far. The apartment itself is very nice, especially for the price. I pay extra for a garage, which has so far saved me a few times from having to scrape the snow and ice off my car and I’m sure it will even more this winter. Also, Jenn the apartment manager has been awesome, helping with anything I need and is very kind and responsive to requests. As most people can attest to, having a good person in charge of your apartment (or any other kind of rented living space) is incredibly reassuring. Overall, I’ve had a very good experience living here and would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere to live.
