This used to be a great place to live, with logical rent prices for the lack of amenities and less-than-desirable location. Unfortunately, with new owners and a new management company taking over in September 2021, that all changed. A two bedroom used to go for $925, which included high-speed Internet and off-street parking. While the Internet could be spotty at times and sometimes the parking lot was full, this was all fairly priced. Now, a two-bedroom apartment starts at $1100 and you are nickel-and-dimed for everything outside of the apartment itself. Don't let the pricing fool you, there are no amenities at the property (no pools, party rooms, anything you would find at other apartment buildings Downtown), and this is NOT a safe area to live. At the lower price you could maybe justify it, but with regular break-ins, thefts, and assaults in the area, there's no justifying it anymore.

I was there for two years and supposedly they're under new ownership and new property management company (which, the previous review said they were great. Red Door Property Management is terrible due to no communication and allowing mold to grow in the 'Rooftop Apartment' after complaints of living in it for a few months). I lived at the top apartment. Had the cabinetry replaced because the covers were coming off. The AC/HVAC was meant for all the other apartments, but the top apartment was double the square footage - so it was always cranked on during the summer, yet the inside was 76 degrees +. Things constantly falling apart in the apartment. Could never get another key or a fab. Cheaply remade, would run ... run far away! Like the previous reviewer said, NO AMNENITIES WHAT SO EVER. I would disagree that it's a terrible neighborhood, but it is gentrifying. It's not perfect, but it's not as bad as it was made out to be. It's a really cool building with some fun history (Women's correctional / house arrest / work release and before that a hospital), but too bad they couldn't capitalize on any of that.
