Meg the property manager was extremely approachable, easy to communicate with and efficient. She is an outstanding property manager and she assisted me with getting into my first apartment with ease!!! I am happy with my apartment and they are great with communication as well as being on top of fixing anything that needs to be fixed!! Love my new apartment and meg!

I lived there for 5 years and it's honestly a nice little complex. Meg is one of the sweetest women I know and I loved chit chatting with her whenever I would call over to the office. She makes you feel like family and is so helpful and understanding. Pros: -I appreciated that the main door to each tower locks when shut, as an added layer of safety. I always felt safe living there. -The bedroom closet is huge and perfect for two people. -Location is right on the BHP, which is nice. -The balcony's are huge and relatively private... my kids used to love playing out there and I loved the privacy. Cons: -My only negative thing to say about this place is that the wall unit air-conditioner in the living room doesn't ever reach the bedroom during the really hot months... but if you have a nice fan or a window unit for summer, you'll be just fine! Overall, I'd recommend Ivanhoe Apartments to anyone looking for a 1 bedroom unit.

1. There is no security, no camera. if you have children, family or even concerned about your safety, look somewhere else. Outsiders can walk in anytime. I have seen threat notes from strangers stick on my door, my packages getting stolen. When Informed to management, they played fool, didn't care & didn't take any action. I have installed security camera in my apartment myself. They have people on payroll, I wonder their capabilities that they can't install tilldate or they r literally cheap coz the security system with 12 motion cameras if boughtht online won't cost more than $350. Replied me they have locked doors for safety which I clarified with vedio clip attachment in the email that it doesn't work and till date it's same. 2. Summer is the worst here. They will provide AC but it won't work. Even if you keep it on for days & nights, there will be more than 15 degree temperature difference between AC thermostat & actual room temperature. Even the area beneath the AC won't cool down. Forget changing, they won't even repair it or add refrigerant but they will tell you keep it on all day & night coz more than $400 AC bill is not their problem. That's what they literally told me. I showed to the property manager & she accepted that I am right then sent their maintenance guy who sees the same thing that temperature difference is insane even 1 feet from AC but plays fool that hall temp is more than 90 in the hall so your AC is working. I realized it's useless to speak with him coz he came with pre learned script on how to fool others. If the hall temperature is 90 when entire blackwood temperature is 80 as per weather dept, news & google then they have another problem to fix their halls with ventilation. And basically that if I put my AC to 63F within few minutes or an hour the room temperature should be 67F. If it's 79 even after it's on for days then clearly AC is not working. But he didn't had that basic understanding so speaking with him was literally a waste of time. Even other tenants had to fight with them over the phone for the same problem. 3. Above AC problem is just for the hall. There is no AC in bedroom & it's unbearable there. 4. You can't install window AC coz there is no open window & even if you manage open space they won'tgive you permission saying it might leak. You can't fix the given AC or they will charge for messing with their appliance. 5. You can't work on your car even for a little maintenance like oil change. Prohibited in the contract. Run away.
