I love living here! I have a sizable one-bedroom apartment with bay windows and a good-sized kitchen. My building is located in an adorable courtyard lined with yellow roses and lavender and there is this gorgeous dogwood tree growing right outside my living room windows (photo attached). I feel very safe and the neighbors and staff are very friendly. So far, I've placed one maintenance request and it was fixed within an hour or two. The price is unbeatable for Arlington and being walking distance from the metro. The location is also walking distance from quite a few Arlington restaurants/bars/salons/barber shops/doctors offices/etc.
In terms of drawbacks, I would flag that the buildings are older (built during WWII), so you can hear people through the walls. Also, you need to enter a 3-digit code to enter each building, so if someone nefarious were to get the code, there could be issues, but no one I've spoken with has had any issues and I've always felt very safe.

I have lived here for a year and really enjoy the place. Staff are friendly and maintenance gets issues fixed quickly. Great amenities including a gym and pool.
Sheffield has been a great place to live! My apartment is one of the newer models with updated appliances in the kitchen, updated bathroom tiles and newly renovated floors.
The staff are amazing and really do their best to make you feel at home. The back office is also great and will really work with you to make sure your needs are heard and that your stay in the community is satisfactory! I'd recommend this place to anyone looking to live in the Arlington area!

Clean, quiet and safe place to live. Close to everywhere - bus, restaurants, the Metro, Trader Joe's, the Whole Foods, Courthouse movie theater, etc. Each room in my apt, kitchen and bathroom included, has a window. Friendly, professional staff, well maintained apt buildings, large outdoor swimming pool, nice gym, first rate services, and diverse community events such as food truck services, neighbor complex training workshops, dog swim, online community, and so on. It's a high brow community.
I really love my apartment -- it gets a ton of natural light (especially from the two gorgeous corner windows I have), it's a 700 sqft one bedroom which is perfect for me, and they just redid the carpets and all the paint in the hallway and stairs and it looks so great. I absolutely loved the pool this summer which I used pretty much every other day (it was a lifesaver!) and I like the gym too though I don't use it much because of the pandemic. My mail has all been super secure, the administration is also super kind and quick to respond to any request that you have, and they keep the grounds and common areas really clean. I'm very happy here, I look forward to being here a while more.
The only con I would say is that there aren't many buses very close by (I don't have a car) so in the bad weather you do get caught in the rain, but I think that's a small price to pay to be in such a good location. I would also say that I don't think all the residents respect the plentiful communal areas, which is annoying, as for example some folks damaged some of the wall paint as soon as it was repainted (I think from moving furniture). There are some pretty entitled people around but I think that's the case in all of Arlington.

I will start off by qualifying that I am not a resident at Sheffield Court, but I felt compelled to write a review because we had such a positive experience touring the community! Our agent (I believe it was LJ) had such a positive energy and made the touring experience feel very easy and fun. She answered all our questions and gave us a lot of information about the community and the overall vibe of the area. It felt like a safe residential area with easy metro access and affordable parking options. While we ultimately decided to go with a different apartment community due to location, Sheffield was a top contender due to the cleanliness of the grounds and the communication and transparency from the leasing agent. The apartments are all newly renovated and look lovely -- they are nicely updated with sleek finishes and stainless steel appliances. It is one of the few places we found in the DC area that seems worth the price you pay.
I have been living here since 2019 and currently am transferring to a newly renovated apartment also at Sheffield Court. I just wanted to share my experience to help others make their decisions, as apartment hunting in this area can be daunting.
There are many reasons that made me want to stay at Sheffield Court, but one of the main reasons is that the people have been amazing. The general manager, Charlotte, has helped me since day one, from promptly answering all my questions and concerns, to providing assistance on matters she really didn't have to bother with, but still did. Communications have always been clear and transparent, which I value greatly. The office staff, Shayla, Cal, and all the others have always been courteous and quick in helping me every time I visit the office, great folks... I also cannot say enough for the maintenance and cleaning staff, such hard working and kind people that are always very helpful!
The location is really hard to beat for those working in DC, about a ~10-15min walk to two metros. There are also many grocery stores, along with plenty of places to eat out within walkable distance. You can definitely manage without a car as I have done for the last 5 years. They also have a nice renovated workout facility and workspaces if you need to use it to work from home. The pool is very nice as well and definitely a big hit during the summer. Overall, I'm glad I stumbled onto this location and would definitely recommend it to those with similar needs!

I've been living in these apartments for two years. Honestly, I'm very happy with everything. The staff is very friendly, and if we have any issues, maintenance comes quickly, even on weekends. The pool is beautiful, and the gym is spacious, so there's no need to pay for an external one.
Unfortunately, the buildings are quite old, so they occasionally interrupt water for pipe repairs. I'm grateful they inform us well in advance so we can prepare, but it wouldn't be a reason not to live here.
The location is perfect, and the price is affordable.
