I have lived here a little over a year. I am very happy with my apartment. The location is perfect! I wanted city living but not right in the city, this building is a hidden gem. I have a gorgeous river view, and it is located on a quiet road. There has been a lot of management changes but this new manager seems to really care and pay attention to what needs to be done. She makes her self available to the resident when ever they may need her. Which is nice! I also enjoy the snack bar she sets up each morning. Its nice to be able to grab something quick when I am on the go! I just referred a friend, and received a free months of rent for when they signed their lease. I highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a nice relaxing location.

Thanks to Tara we have rented an excellent apartment with river view. All the staff are so helpful and we already started to enjoy the view from our sofa:)
Nice clean roomy apartment, I didn't need too much furniture, as I'm here for just a year.
I walk to nice restaurants, movies shopping.
Management is very friendly and professional
It's nice to watch the barges go up and down the river, be aware in the rear is a main line rail road and for some unknown reason trains blow their horns, it does not wake me up though!
Disclosure, we need a few more people in the building it's still a bit empty! As word spreads it will be full I am sure!
I have been living at 3030 South Water St for a few months now and I am nothing but happy here. I am very impressed by how passionate Michael is about running this apartment complex. He organizes and buys supplies for little get-together events for the residents, he decorated the lobby for each season/ holiday, and we chat whenever I see him! If i could give the review 6 stars, I would!! Definitely consider 3030 South Water St when looking for your next apartment!!

This is a nice new building - close to everything but away from the noise. Next to UPMC - great for my work location. The apartments are nice and management did wonders to get me in quick, the 3rd floor has great views. I was told about the management issues, however they are great and are very nice. Great price and I like that the units have a washer and dryer in the unit! They redid the gym area and I like to use it often. My dog loves the trails across the street. Check them out for your self, I am glad the reviews didn't scare me away!
I've been living in this community since late July 2019. It's a great pet-friendly apartment building with nice facilities and amazing views. So far I'm satisfied with everything here. If you ask me to pick one thing that I like the best about 3030 South Water Apartment, I'd say it's the new management team. Chris, the Property Manager, and his team are so helpful and considerate, taking good care of the community and the tenants here.
For my case, I had to rent an apartment online before I physically moved there because I was relocating from another state. Chris answered all my questions patiently and promptly, and arranged the signing process very well. I completed all the signing procedures remotely and finally landed to my apartment successfully. I feel so lucky to find this great place to live.
The best apartment I’ve ever lived at! I got some of the best views and loved the location. My cat especially loved the big windows. I never had any issues, and if I did they were always taken care of quickly.
I would like to write an honest review about my experience in the building over the past year. I moved in of Sept of 2017, due to the convenience to my work across the street. We had several new faces in management and they always came up with different rules, it was pretty tough. For the first time since I’ve moved into this building, we have a restored piece of mind Our new manager, Sherea has really taken a new approach to the way she interacts with the residents. I’ve called her outside of office hours, shes provided her cell phone and email (THANK GOD!). Its been pretty easy to communicate. She is working on events for the building, has maintenance finally back- they’re put on fresh coats of paint. I’ve seen weekly cleaners come in and FINALLY the parking has been resolved! If your hesitation was management with the previous reviews.. I do agree with the other residents, and the reviews aren’t untrue of what was previously going on, it was a pretty awful management experience but there is some hope. From my interactions with Sherea, she’s been really accommodating and has even asked for other suggestions for the building.. which is nice. The trains are loud in the back facing units but you do get used to it. So much so that I’m resigning my lease. The best part about living here is how bright the units are! I’ve attached photos of my unit for reference as I know sometimes stock photos are misleading. It is updated and with what seems to be quality materials, not some of those other cheap renovations I’ve seen. I’ve never had any maintenance issues since the building is so new, which is a plus, and I had a clogged drain once that was fixed within 2 days. I used to live at Carson Street Commons and the Flats, I’ve stayed pretty local for work and this is the only place I’ve resigned at.
