We had an open hole in our ceiling for about 3 weeks. One of the bedroom windows leaked when it rained. It smelled like smoke after the new paint smell and new carpet smell disappeared. When we left we discovered mold had grown on the walls behind where our couch was, and both bedroom closets. You could see daylight through the "seal" around the front door. Found a couple of the last tenants things in the back of the cupboards. And after it was clean we were charged for odors during carpet cleaning. Yeah..... wonder where those odors came from? Lipstick on a pig. It's a roof over your head but I don't want to live here again.
