I moved in during a snowstorm and DC was basically shut down. The staff at Metro was so helpful! I have moved around a lot for my job and I appreciated their warmth and professionalism. And the apt was pristine. Maintenance is prompt. Hu This landmark building is a gem.

We are SO lucky to have found the Metropolitan! After contacting 50+ places (including some predatory lending schemes), the Metropolitan was truly the only building that was within budget, a 10 minute walk from the metro, and had all the amenities we were looking for (gym, mail room, a beautiful lobby with free coffee, etc.) The real reason we picked this place though was Janice, the leasing agent, made the entire process so easy — she really goes above and beyond. When I first called and there were no open availabilities, Janice offered to put me on a waitlist and actually followed up with me one month later (no other apartments I’ve worked with have done that). When the apartment we were moving into wasnt get ready for showing, she contacted another resident in the building so we could look at a similar model. She was personally responsive to all our questions, and truly knows each resident by name. She, alongside Russel, Bernice, and Emanuel really sets a community culture at the Metropolitan. Sure, the walls are not always sound proof and the hallways sometimes don’t smell the best — but those are small inconveniences compared to what really matters, the friendly and responsive staff.
