I have the utmost respect and gratitude for the maintenance team of our apartment community, especially the people I interact with daily. Thank you, Maria, Martin, Frank, and Celia! Maria, Martin, and Frank are always quick to come whenever a repair is needed in our apartment, even outside of regular work hours. We truly appreciate their dedication. Celia is a joy to see before heading to work. My sister and I often see her in the elevator or parking lot, already hard at work early in the morning. She ensures that building 34 and its common areas are always clean. While no community is perfect, I can confidently recommend this place to anyone looking to move to Union City. I just wanted to leave a review for the maintenance woman Maria Sanchez. She always does a great job and her service/assistance is always done in a timely manner and she always is willing to work around our schedule/availability. On top of that, she gets the job done amazingly. We truly appreciate all her hard work!
Moving to Avalon has been an absolute breeze and seamless transition - I was coming all the from the Sacramento area to the Bay Area and unfortunately my U Haul put us behind schedule by almost two hours due to an admin issue- just my lick right- but Avalon was quick to reassure me they had everything in hand and I was able to move in that night regardless of the delay.
The building is spectacular, the staff is absolutely wonderful and the location cannot be beat. What a fantastic neighborhood and on a personal Note as a woman I feel so incredibly safe and secure here as well. The gym is well kept as are the pool and community areas.
My move in was efficient, everyone had everything ready to go and the staff was again willing to work with me and the drawbacks coming from the Sacramento area to the Bay. Both myself and my cat have settled into this gorgeous welcoming building in no time at all.
Oh if you have a pet, you are right at home, they work with you and make sure your fur baby is just as happy as you in their new life here.
All in all I genuinely am giving Avalon a 5 star review, because the small and I mean SMALL inconveniences I have experienced so far are just typical of any move and have nothing to do with Avalon as a whole, if you are looking to settle in the Bay Area there is no where better and as someone who did a cross country move from Boston to California a few years ago, I've been through a LOT of moving hurdles.
Recommend this place for singles, families, anyone with a pet or kids, just come live here if you get the chance.
You won't regret it.
PROS: Fantastic location right next to the Union City BART station. Well kept and very agreeable, courteous staff who keep the community in the loop. Apartments are spacious and well thought out.
CONS: It is a bit pricy but nothing too egregious especially for the Bay Area. It can be a bit tight with parking a U Haul on multiple move in days so do your best to combat traffic if you can with your truck- staff will be able to help you find a spot we just got unlucky with traffic and my own personal U Haul bad luck.

Nothing but a great experience in Avalon Union City. My Son lived in Avalon for 3 yrs, and he enjoyed his stay. On our last day, Brian, the Sr. Maintenance manager accommodated us on his schedule to do the last final inspection at 4pm. As we are taking a flight to New Jersey tonight, Brian was kind enough to allow us to finish wrapping up so we didn't feel rushed out. Thank you Brian for understanding, and the support needed in our transition.
Brian, is very professional and his excellent service speaks volumes.
Will definitely miss Avalon and the staff.

I had a comfortable and peaceful living experience here for 2.5 years. Thanks to Brian Snider, the maintenance manager, for taking care of cleaning costs after our move-out date since the carpet in the apartment was already clean and well-kept, as we felt paying for clean sweep didn’t warrant that. Great guy! The staff was very helpful and accommodating. I would recommend choosing this place if one is going to live in the Bay Area.
