It's a beautiful community for people over 55. Both the apartments and the grounds are exemplary. They have 24-hour maintenance, and a community of lovely people.

Having been responsible for the maintenance, upkeep, cleaning, painting, yardwork and all of the other joys of home ownership for 23 years, I was more than ready to sell the house and downsize to an apartment. I had 4 must haves when I was apartment shopping. SECURITY while this place has the buzzer entry, I take greater comfort in the location and layout of the grounds. This complex buts up against a preserve in the rear, single family homes on one side and a small apartment complex on the other. This end of Topanga Cyn Blvd does not have the strip malls, alleyways and graffiti that you encounter as you go south on TCB. Being an Active 55 complex provides for a lot of people activity unlike some places that become ghost towns during the day until everyone returns home from work. NO LONG HALLWAYS by that I mean this complex is designed like a Condo. I take real issue with having to walk down long dark and smelly hallways with fire doors to get to an apartment. We have landscaped outdoor walkway on par with the Beverly Hills Hotel. NO CARPET so I did have to bend here as the bedroom is carpeted but the rest of the apartment has durable non-wood floors. My last must have is CENTRAL AIR – which works just fine. I appreciate the multiple laundry facilities, dog park / stations and the pool / gym / clubhouse and tennis court all of which are located in the rear of the complex via a bridge that crosses over the Santa Susana Pass wash. A final shout out to the residents who welcomed me so warmly and the Office Manager, Elena who has been very accommodating when I’ve called upon her but also the kindness she’s shown on behalf of other tenants which I have observed.
