This corner lot, bottom-floor unit is in the heart of the "Irish Channel". The whole building (3 units) was completely remodeled in 2016, and my husband just finished a significant remodel on this unit over the past six months. Y’all-it looks better now than it ever did during the seven years we lived there! This original 1850’s corner store building has 12 foot ceilings and historic details (store windows, corner store cut-away front door, brackets etc) and the windows throughout the unit bring in a tremendous amount of natural light and come with up-down window blinds and frosted front door windows for privacy. The unit is the entire bottom floor of the building- about 1500+ sq feet. The 2/bed 2/bath is split into a master with a lovely en suite (double sink) and another good size bedroom. Each bedroom has built in closets. There is also a dedicated office space at the front of the unit and two large bonus spaces (one was previously used as a large storage/laundry room-comes with storage racks, and the other was a workout room) in the back of the unit. The open living space combines a large living room space, dining-comes with custom table and large kitchen (gas range, and pantry with original wood) for an entertainer’s (or parents!) dream. This unit has one dedicated off-street parking space in the carport at the back of the building- there is always plenty of room for other parking on the street next to the building. Central heat/AC, washer/dryer in the unit, and responsive lessor. Your neighbors in the building and down the street are quiet, professional and just a great neighborhood community.
