Downtown Fort Myers and the River District are a short drive, along with the Edison and Ford Winter Estates, the Calusa Nature Center and Planetarium, and the Imaginarium. Southwest Florida International Airport is about eighteen minutes out. The community is served by the School District of Lee County, with Ray V. Pottorf Elementary and Colonial Elementary, Fort Myers Middle Academy and Paul Laurence Dunbar Middle School, and Fort Myers High School and Dunbar High School in the proximity zone. Hodges University is roughly two miles away, Florida SouthWestern State College about fifteen minutes, and Florida Gulf Coast University twenty-five.
