About you: We're looking for a young professional who is laid back, social, considerate, and moderately clean to take over the 3rd bedroom in our 2nd floor apartment. About us: The two of us who are staying are pretty typical 20 somethings who both work 9-5s. We've been roommates for two years and enjoy doing our own thing, as well as hanging with our roommates. We're really into music; we both have record players so feel free to bring your vinyl if you have some, and we're always up for some live shows. The available room: Smallest room of the three, but the current occupant has a full sized bed, TV w/ stand, and a bookcase. There is a working ceiling fan, normal sized closet, and large window. All hardwood floors. The bathroom is semi-private (used by you and any guests who come over), as we share the master bath. Some perks of the apartment: -Full kitchen with electric stove, double oven, large fridge/freezer (freezer has two levels), dishwasher, garbage disposal -Washer/dryer in unit -Two decks!! -Landlord is incredibly responsive and helpful -Whole Foods/Trader Joe's within a 10 minute bus ride, Harris Teeter w/in walking distance -Walking distance to coffee, bars, shopping, etc. -Transportation within a 4 minute walk: -96, 90, and 92 among others, 80, P6, G2, X3 -NOMA Metro is about a 7 minute walk, Shaw Metro is about 15 minutes, Union Station is about a 10 minute bus ride away We've had some bad luck with housing in the past, and this apartment has been such a relief. It's so close to everything, the landlord is incredibly quick about responding to things, and the deck is perfect for summer (there's actually a space for a grill out back if you have one). We're planning on renewing the lease when it's up in July. We do have a decent amount of furniture, including a kitchen table, a small couch, TV w/ stand, coffee table, butcher block, and kitchen things. The lease ideally begins ASAP, but can be flexible as long as it begins on or (preferably) before March 1st. Rent includes water; electric and cable are not included and paid separately (usually around $40-$65 per person).
