Contemporary 2 bedroom/2 bathroom condo available as of December 1st. The condo is approx. 800 sq. ft. and located on Georgia Ave NW, between Harvard and Columbia. The five-story, 22-unit property was built in 2011. It is a ground floor unit and has lots of natural light. It's a super location, within walking distance of numerous bars and restaurants on Georgia Avenue, 11th Street, and the 14th Street Corridor. It features a beautiful kitchen with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. There is a full-size front-loading washer/dryer in the unit. The bedrooms do not share a wall and there are two bathrooms, making this a perfect situation for two people who are not a couple, or perfect for a couple who need a home office. One off-street parking spot is included and located in the parking lot behind the building and can easily fit a sedan or small SUV. Street parking nearby for cars with zone 1 stickers is readily available. Water/sewer and trash removal are included. The tenant pays for electric. There is a shared rooftop deck with a table and chairs and great views down to the National Mall. The neighborhood (Pleasant Plains) is very vibrant with an abundance of restaurants and cafes. There is a large playground and basketball on the adjacent block. The Banneker public pool is three blocks away. Nearby schools include Howard University, Bruce-Monroe Elementary School, and Benjamin Banneker Academy High School. Also nearby are the Columbia Heights shopping center (with Target, Marshalls, Panera, Chick-Fil-A, Washington Sports Center, and more), several grocery stores, and a dog park. A short distance to the south are Howard University and many vibrant U Street Corridor and Shaw attractions. Transportation options are numerous. The Columbia Heights Metro and Petworth Metro are both minutes away, a Capital Bikeshare is three blocks away, and the express bus lanes for 70 and 79 buses on Georgia Ave are just out the front door. Getting around DC couldn't be easier! Completion of a simple rental application is needed, as well as completing a simple online credit check. First month's rent and one month's security deposit are needed at time of lease signing. The condo is available as of December 1st, 2020. No pets please.
