About 172 Charles Street #B
Hey folks, I'm looking for a roommate to share a two bedroom duplex apartment with off-street car parking in East Cambridge starting 1st July this year. The place is a 10 minute walk from both the Kendall/MIT and Lechmere T stops, 5 minute walk to the CambridgeSide Galleria mall, and a 10-15 minute walk to MIT campus and nearby businesses. Its a huge apartment! Please see attached photos. Combined kitchen and dining, with an attached living room. Stairs lead to the two spacious bedrooms and a bathroom on the 2nd floor. The room up for grabs is about 10 feet by 15 feet in size. We have a massive basement equipped with a washer & dryer and plenty of storage space. We also have a beautiful backyard for chilling, BBQing, and anything else. Whats more, you will have you're own parking spot (included in the rent), so if you have a car, then it doesn't get much better than this for you! The combined rent for the place is going to be $2190, which comes to $1095 per person for a 1 year minimum lease. The rent does not include heating, electricity, and cable/Internet. The apartment is gas heated, and the stove is electric. There is no air-conditioning, but a cheap window AC unit does a good job for the 2-3 months of the year that you might need it. My name is Tushar Swamy (Indian, 30, unmarried), I am a PhD student at MIT and I have been living in this apartment for the past 2 years, and wouldn't ditch this place for as long as I live in the area! My current room-mate is moving out because he wants to live closer to his faraway workplace and avoid the ridiculous commute.
