We are renting both a fully renovated basement apartment and a bright backyard studio space with skylight--ideally together. The studio is fully wired with ethernet cable for high-speed internet (from the house). The apartment is newly renovated with high ceilings and includes a dishwasher, laundry, spa tub and hardwood floors. There are four large windows, including one 6 foot picture window (for extra light). The studio would be ideal for an artist, designer or consultant. It is finished (and white and bright), with an unfinished concrete floor. The house is non-smoking and unfortunately not pet-friendly (we have severe allergies). Utilities are included! Parking is on the street (but very easy--all our neighbours use their garages). The studio is probably 400 square feet and the apartment is close to 900 square feet. I have listed this as a 2BR because there are three large rooms between the studio and the apartment, and I wanted to give a sense for the space available, but I this set-up really works best as a 1BR (with the studio being used as a living room or studio space). The house is a two-minute bike ride from Dufferin Grove Park (and their amazing farmer's market), 2 minutes from the Dufferin Mall (on foot), and minutes from the subway on Bloor Street (and its great bars, restaurants, coffee shops and stores, including Three Speed, Whippoorwill, Holy Oak and The Nuthouse). We are equally close (if not closer) to College Street (and The Common). My husband and I are artists and designers, although these days I work primarily as a writer and illustrator. I am currently really excited about a children's book I'm working on. Send us a message if you think you might be interested and tell us a little about yourself too. We are also well-situated for parents (or part-time parents). We will be showing the apartment this Saturday from 9 until 1 in 15-minute increments. Let us know when you might like to come by. I've attached a few photos. The interior shots were taken at night--the apartment is actually very bright and has many windows. Unfortunately, I don't have any recent photos of the studio interior or exterior (we are putting sod in the backyard right now)! The interior photo was taken before the studio was finished. Our current tenant (and friend) is using the space for storage and it's totally jammed, but we can show you the space if you're interested. If separately, the apartment is renting for $1150 and the studio $500. Thanks!
