Looking for a long-term roommate, on a month-to-month lease. One year lease. This is a great opportunity to live in a large, bright, charming, private apartment really close to the beach, UCLA Medical, and St. John's Hospital. :) Large & Bright: This is not a small cramped studio or small place in Santa Monica, it's large, beautiful and very clean with original hardwood floors and A LOT of natural sunlight apartment. This 2-bedroom apartment is in the back of a charming 6-unit building in Santa Monica. The photos you see were taken yesterday on a gloomy day and it was still bright. I love this about this apartment. The bedroom photo gives you an idea that a queen size bed will fit, a desk and a couple dressers. The large closet is awesome. :) When I am here, I shower 80% of the time at my gym so I probably wouldn't use it much even when I'm here but I'd like someone who is considerate and clean in the bathroom and all living spaces. No pets allowed: Sorry :( Washer and dryer: Located in the building and we also have a line to hang/air dry your clothes, therefore, washing is inexpensive. Neighborhood: Close to UCLA but closer to the beach. My neighbors are friendly, there are no children around, and we are all nice to each other. The neighborhood is a quiet and safe street 1.5 miles from the beach. The apartment is nestled between Wilshire Blvd and Santa Monica Blvd so not only is there many shops to walk to but you have access to the bus lines on both Metro and Big Blue Bus to go anywhere (UCLA, downtown L.A., etc.) If you work in Santa Monica, you don't need a car. I have a scooter and a bicycle that I use to get around. Street parking only: Like I said, there's plenty of parking in the street because we have residential permits. . Apartment is close to the 10 freeway on the Cloverfield Blvd. exit , so if you drive, the freeway is only 5 minutes. Stay fit: If you love being active or want to create a more active lifestyle, you'd be 15 minutes away from Santa Monica Stairs 20 minutes away from hiking in Temescal Canyon. Ride your bike everywhere too! It's a 10 minute bike ride to the Pier and 3rd street Promenade. If you like riding your bike and/or walking, this place is lovely for that. I walk to Wholefood (2 blocks away), Wallgreens (2 blocks away), the post office (1 block), cleaners and ride my bike to Krispy Kream, and coffee shops. I generally try to ride my bike for errands. About me: I am a professionally stable woman and work at a local start-up. Sometimes I work at our office, sometimes remotely. I have a Yoga Tune Up teacher certification and I am generally very healthy and love to stay active. If you're interested in health and wellness, I'd be happy to share what I know from the area. I use my living room to stretch sometimes - happy if you'd like to join me too :) As I roommate, I like to keep the general area clean. I hire someone to do 2 deep cleanings a month to make sure things are tidy and that there are no conflicts about this. I'm really easy going BUT cleanliness is a must for me, especially in the general areas. It helps me stay focused :) I am very friendly and enjoy learning about new people, new cultures, and am very supportive. Santa Monica is my hometown, so if you're new to the area, I would love to help you get settled and offer advice even while I'm gone!
