The Zumper D.C. Metro Report analyzed over 55,000 active listings in March across 8 metro cities to show the most and least expensive cities and cities with the fastest growing rents.

Plus cher

–Arlington, Virginie was the most expensive city to rent in the metro area with one bedroom units priced at a median of $2,380.

–Bethesda, MD followed suit with a median rent of $2,150.

–Washington, D.C. ranked as the third priciest city at $2,040.

Le moins cher

–Frederick, MD was the most affordable city with rent priced at a median of $1,110.

–Reston, Virginie, a few hundred dollars more, had the second most affordable rent. One bedroom units were priced at a median of $1,570.

–Rockville, MD ranked as the third least expensive city at $1,630.

–Reston, Virginie had the fastest growing rents in the metro area, up 14.6% since this time last year.

–Silver Spring, MD ranked as second with a 4.3% yearly growth rate.

–Arlington, Virginie rent was the third fastest growing, climbing 2.1%.
