Welcome to The Owlet! Feel at home in this simple 1-bedroom basement suite with large windows. This suite is part of an older home with lots of character. You’ll find a cozy queen bed with super comfy pillows, a smart TV in the bedroom, and another in the living room next to the fireplace. A simple kitchen includes a coffee machine and coffee, oven, stove, microwave, fridge, freezer, and a table that seats 2. There is also a blender, washer and dryer. A pack and play crib is available. Firewood can be included. You are only a 5 to 10-minute drive from restaurants, bars, and shops, an 8-minute drive from WinSport Canada Olympic Park, a 1.5-hour drive from Banff, and an 18-minute drive from Downtown Calgary (Stampede). This is an old home with charm, but no insulation between floors, so you may hear noise from upstairs, including a loud AC unit. Please be mindful of upstairs guests. The laundry room is in a shared space with guests staying upstairs. The backyard is fenced and shared between upstairs and downstairs guests. The patio is for upstairs guests only. The roof is short, so anyone above 5’11" will have to duck in areas of the basement. There are unfinished areas of the basement, but it is safe. Quiet hours are between 9:00 PM and 8:00 AM. Please remove your shoes at the entranceway. No overnight guests that aren’t included in the booking. If the home is left in an exceptionally messy state, an extra cleaning fee of $60 for every extra hour of cleaning required will be charged. If you're interested in an early check-in or late check-out there will be an additional $50/hour once approved and if available. A $85/hour fee will be charged for delaying cleaning professionals. Smoking indoors or near windows will result in a $1000 fee. Parties or excessive noise is not allowed and will result in a $1000 fee. For reservations made by an employer/corporate, the main guest/employee must be present at the time of check-in and during the stay; renting it out without permission is subject to immediate eviction without refund. The use of glitter for celebrations or craft projects or other uses is prohibited. Includes a full workstation with a desk, monitor, keyboard, and mouse, perfect for remote work or longer stays.
