Perched at over 4,000 feet and just 5 minutes from the new Hatley Pointe ski lodge, this cozy-chic cabin is your ideal home base year-round. With 3 spacious bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, and room for up to 8 guests, the home blends laid-back luxury with mountain charm. Take in stunning views from the deck, enjoy your morning coffee by the window, or relax after a day on the slopes or trails. The chalet features a fully stocked kitchen with high-end appliances, a large refrigerator, ample cabinetry, and a large island with high seating. The living room boasts a Roku TV, an indoor fireplace, a leather sofa, and board and card games, all within an open-floor concept connecting to the kitchen and dining area. The main bedroom includes a king-sized bed, a day bed with trundle, a Roku TV, a fireplace, and an ensuite bathroom. The second bedroom offers two queen-sized beds, while the third bedroom features a full/queen-sized bunk bed. A downstairs nook provides an additional day bed and a 55-inch Roku TV. Up to 2 dogs are welcome for a $125 pet fee per stay. Dogs must be crate trained and picked up after. No cats are allowed. Parking is available on-site for up to 4 vehicles. Emerald Sky Chalet is located in the Breakaway development, nestled halfway up Scenic Wolf Mountain in Mars Hill, NC. It is a quick 5-minute drive to the Hatley Pointe Ski Lodge and right around the corner from the Breakaway Trail. The Appalachian Trail is just a 10-minute drive away, and Asheville’s dining, arts, and culture scene is within easy reach. Nearby attractions include Mars Hill University, Madison County Heritage Center, and the French Broad River. Local dining options include Smoke & Timber, Stack House, Hickory Nut Gorge Brewery at Mars Hill, The Original Papa Nick’s, Rio Mexican Cuisine, and Little Creek Cafe. Check-in is at 4 pm and check-out is at 10 am. A 4-wheel drive, snow tires, or chains are strongly recommended during the winter months due to quickly changing weather conditions at this elevation. An exterior camera is installed solely to monitor the cleaning team for quality and security purposes. Guests must be 21 years or older to book this property. A simple screening process is required within 48 hours of booking confirmation, and a Rental Agreement must be signed prior to check-in, including a non-refundable $60 damage waiver. Outdoor pools in North Carolina typically close for the season in October, so please inquire ahead of your stay if pool access is essential.
