As NYC continues to be one of the most expensive cities to rent in the country, we at Zumper wanted to figure out if there was a way to find cheaper rentals, even in the priciest neighborhoods across the city. We crunched data on median 1-bedroom rent prices and found “cold pockets” for rent – areas sometimes hundreds of dollars cheaper than the surrounding neighborhood prices.
