For those who want to stay and rent an apartment here, we studied several thousand emails and calls, also known as inquiries, sent to Atlanta rental properties last month to identify the most popular neighborhoods and bedroom types.
The 10 Most Popular Atlanta Neighborhoods For Renters
1. Midtown
2. Old Fourth Ward
3. Little Five Points
4. Buckhead Village
5. Virginia Highland
6. Grant Park
7. Downtown Atlanta
8. Pittsburgh
9. West End
10. East Lake
Centrally located and culturally diverse Midtown is Atlanta’s most in demand neighborhood, sending 9% more inquiries last month than second place, historic Old Fourth Ward. Hipster loving Little Five Points rounds out the top three most popular Atlanta neighborhoods.
The Most Popular Apartment Unit Types
Sending 35% of this month’s inquiries, one bedroom units commanded the majority of renter interest at a median inquiry price of $1,000. Close behind, two bedroom units were the next most in demand, producing with 28% of inquiries at a median of $1,350. Three bedroom units followed behind that with 20% of inquiries at $1,575.
Studios and four bedroom units had the least amount of renter interest this month. Four bedroom units generated 10% of inquiries at a median price of $1,790, while studios produced 7% of inquiries at $800.
Méthodologie
The Zumper Neighborhood Popularity Report analyzes every call and email sent in a month to determine renter interest. Neighborhoods are ranked by total inquiries generated to determine the top 10 most in demand areas. Inquiries are also separated into bedroom type, along with each corresponding median inquiry price, to provide the most in-demand bedroom units and prices.
