The Zumper Tampa Metro Area Report analyzed active listings in August 2019 across 11 metro cities to show the most and least expensive cities and cities with the fastest growing rents. The Florida one bedroom median rent was $1,218 last month.

–Sarasota was the most expensive city with one bedrooms priced at $1,300.
–Venice rent was down 5.3% last month to $1,250 and ranked as the second priciest city.
–Dunedin was third with rent priced at $1,240.

-Winter Haven ranked as the most affordable city with one bedrooms priced at $760.
–Lakeland was second with rent at $830.
-Largo ranked as third with rent staying flat at $1,000.

–St Petersburg had the fastest growing rent, up 13.9% since this time last year.
–Largo saw rent climb 8.7%, making it the second fastest growing.
–North Port was third with rent growing 8.0%.

–St. Petersburg rent jumped 4.5% last month, making it the second fastest growing.
–Tampa ranked as third with rent up 2.7%.
