Tampa Metro Report: December 2019

The Zumper Tampa Metro Area Report analyzed active listings in November 2019 across 11 metro cities to show the most and least expensive cities and cities with the fastest growing rents. The Florida one bedroom median rent was $1,198 last month.

–Venice was the most expensive city with one bedrooms priced at $1,310.

–Sarasota rent dropped 3.1% to $1,260 and ranked as the second priciest city.

–North Port was third with rent at $1,240.

–Winter Haven was the most affordable city with one bedrooms priced at $850.

–Lakeland was second with rent at $870.

–Largo ranked as third with rent staying flat at $950.

–Lakeland had the fastest growing rent, up 16.0% since this time last year.

–North Port saw rent climb 6.9% since this time last year, making it the second fastest growing.

–Winter Haven was third with rent growing 4.9%.

–Dunedin had the largest monthly rental growth rate, up 5.1%.

–Lakeland and Venice rents both jumped 4.8% last month, making them tied for the second fastest growing.

–Winter Haven ranked as third with rent increasing 2.4%.
