This May, Baltimore ranked as the 18th most expensive rental market in the country, as one bedrooms remained flat in the quarter at $1,100, while two bedrooms appreciated 5.7% in the same period to a median of $1,480. On our list of the 50 largest metro regions in the US, Baltimore placed ahead of Austin, Dallas, and Charlotte for rent prices.
Looking closer at the map, the most expensive neighborhoods to rent this spring included Little Italy ($2,000), Fells Point ($1,995), and Riverside ($1,795). More affordable areas centered around the southwest, including Shipley Hill ($590) and Mill Hill ($680).
