Tied with Long Beach and Minneapolis, Philadelphia comes in as the 16th most expensive rental market in the U.S, with one bedrooms asking a median of $1,190 and two bedrooms asking $1,360. Prices have cooled over the past year, with one bedroom prices down 10.5% and two bedrooms down 2.9% in 2015.

On a neighborhood level, Logan Square ($1,870) and University City ($1,850) are currently the two most expensive neighborhoods, both priced over $1,800. Other notably expensive neighborhoods include Center City West ($1,670) Southwest Center City ($1,650), and Avenue of the Arts North ($1,540). More affordable options such as North Philadelphia West, Kensington, and Port Richmond can be found to the north of the city.
