The Zumper Seattle Metro Area Report analyzed active listings in September 2019 across 20 metro cities to show the most and least expensive cities and cities with the fastest growing rents. The Washington one bedroom median rent was $1,313 last month.

–Kirkland was the most expensive city with one bedrooms priced at $2,020.

–Redmond rent grew 3.1% to $2,010 and ranked as the second priciest city.

–Bellevue was third with rent priced at $1,930.

–Port Angeles ranked as the most affordable city with one bedrooms priced at $560.

–Lakewood was second with rent at $950.

–Bellingham ranked as third with rent up 0.9% to $1,090.

–Tukwila had the fastest growing rent, up 15.6% since this time last year.

–Olympia saw rent climb 15.1%, making it the second fastest growing.

–Bellingham was third with rent jumping 14.7%.

–Lakewood had the largest monthly rental growth rate, up 5.6%.

–Kirkland, Burien, and Tukwila rents all jumped 5.2% last month, making them tied for the second fastest growing.

–Redmond ranked as third with rent up 3.1%.
