Seattle Metro Report: February 2020

The Zumper Seattle Metro Area Report analyzed active listings in January 2020 across 23 metro cities to show the most and least expensive cities and cities with the fastest growing rents. The Washington one bedroom median rent was $1,302 last month.

The Most Expensive

–Kirkland was the most expensive city with one bedrooms priced at $2,100.

–Bellevue saw one bedroom rent jump 5% to $2,090 and rank as the second priciest city.

–Redmond was third with rent at $2,050.

The Least Expensive

–Port Angeles ranked as the most affordable city, though one bedroom rent grew 4.9% to $640.

–Wenatchee was second with rent at $860.

–Oak Harbor saw rent climb 4.2% to $990 and rank as third.

The Fastest Growing (Y/Y%)

–Kirkland had the fastest growing rent, up 14.8% since this time last year.

–Tukwila saw rent climb 14.3%, making it the second fastest growing.

–Redmond was third with rent increasing 10.2%.

The Fastest Growing (M/M%)

–Redmond had the largest monthly rental growth rate, up 5.1%.

–Bellevue rent jumped 5.0% last month, making it the second fastest growing.

–Port Angeles followed closely behind as third with rent climbing 4.9%.
