The Zumper San Diego Metro Report analyzed active listings in November across 15 metro cities to show the most and least expensive cities and cities with the fastest growing rents. The California state median was $1,751 last month.
Cities Ranked By Rent
Le plus cher
–Coronado, CA rent, though falling $160 to $3,130, continued to reign as the most expensive in the metro.
–Solana Beach, CA prices saw a 5% increase to $2,530, ranking as the second most expensive.
–Carlsbad & Encinitas, CA, significantly cheaper than the two priciest cities, tied for third with one bedrooms priced at $1,820.
Le moins cher
–El Cajon, CA remained the most affordable city in the metro with rent at $1,230.
–National City, CA dropped one spot, falling behind Imperial Beach, to rank as the second least expensive city with one bedrooms priced at $1,240.
–Imperial Beach, CA rent rose $60, settling at $1,350, and up one spot to rank as third.

–La Mesa, CA, following closely behind, was second with rent climbing 15.7%.
–Solana Beach, CA had the third fastest growing rent since this time last year, up 15.5%.
