Coming ahead of Denver, Pittsburgh, and New Orleans, Portland ranked as the 18th most expensive rental market in the nation. The price of one bedroom units increased a slight 0.7% to $1,360, while two bedrooms remained flat at $1,600.
While Overlook and Hayden Island had some of the fastest growing rents since last quarter, both up over 12%, Crestwood and Foster – Powell took some of the biggest rent dips, both down over 13%.
This fall, Pearl ($1,960), Arlington Heights ($1,800), and Hillside ($1,625) were the most expensive neighborhoods to rent. More affordable rentals, priced below $1,200, could be found in Cully, South Burlingame, and Rose City Park.
The least expensive areas included Glenfair, Brentwood – Darlington, and Powellhurst – Gilbert.
