The Zumper Portland Metro Area Report analyzed active listings in November 2019 across 7 metro cities to show the most and least expensive cities and cities with the fastest growing rents. The Oregon one bedroom median rent was $1,097 last month.

–Portland was the most expensive city with one bedrooms priced at $1,430.

–Hillsboro rent grew 2.9% to $1,400 and ranked as the second priciest city.

–Lake Oswego was third with rent at $1,350.

–Salem ranked as the most affordable city with one bedrooms priced at $860.

–Gresham was second with rent at $1,110.

–Vancouver rent stayed flat at $1,220 and ranked as the third least expensive.

–Vancouver and Lake Oswego tied for the city with the fastest growing rent, both up 8.9% since this time last year.

–Hillsboro saw rent climb 8.5%, making it the second fastest growing.

–Portland was third with rent jumping 5.9%.

–Salem rent jumped 1.2% last month, making it the second fastest growing.
