The Zumper Phoenix Metro Area Report analyzed active listings in August 2019 across 15 metro cities to show the most and least expensive cities and cities with the fastest growing rents. The Arizona one bedroom median rent was $1,003 last month.
The Most Expensive
–Fountain Hills was the most expensive city with one bedrooms priced at $2,000.
–Scottsdale rent dropped 2.8% last month to $1,390 and ranked as the second priciest city.
–Flagstaff was third with rent priced at $1,270.
The Least Expensive
-Prescott ranked as the most affordable city with one bedrooms priced at $810.
–Glendale was second with rent at $850.
-Prescott Valley ranked as third with rent up 6.0% last month to $880.
The Fastest Growing (Y/Y%)
–Chandler had the fastest growing rent, up 14.3% since this time last year.
–Bullhead City saw rent climb 13.3%, making it the second fastest growing.
–Scottsdale was third with rent growing 12.1%
The Fastest Growing (M/M%)
–Prescott Valley had the largest monthly rental growth rate, up 6.0%.
–Tempe rent jumped 1.8% last month, making it the second fastest growing.
–Mesa ranked as third with rent up 1.1%.
