The Zumper Phoenix Metro Area Report analyzed active listings in September 2019 across 15 metro cities to show the most and least expensive cities and cities with the fastest growing rents. The Arizona one bedroom median rent was $984 last month.

The Most Expensive
–Fountain Hills was the most expensive city with one bedrooms priced at $1,890.
–Scottsdale rent dropped 0.7% to $1,400 and ranked as the second priciest city.
–Flagstaff was third with rent priced at $1,260.
The Least Expensive
–Prescott ranked as the most affordable city with one bedrooms priced at $830.
–Prescott Valley was second with rent at $840.
–Glendale ranked as third with rent growing 4.7% to $890.

The Fastest Growing (Y/Y%)
–Fountain Hills had the fastest growing rent, up 16.0% since this time last year.
–Glendale saw rent climb 15.6%, making it the second fastest growing.
–Lake Havasu City was third with rent jumping 15.5%.
The Fastest Growing (M/M%)
–Surprise had the largest monthly rental growth rate, up 4.9%.
–Glendale rent jumped 4.7% last month, making it the second fastest growing.
–Gilbert ranked as third with rent growing 3.3%.
