Phoenix Metro Report: July 2019

The Zumper Phoenix Metro Report analyzed active listings in June 2019 across 11 metro cities to show the most and least expensive cities and the cities with the fastest growing rents. The Arizona one bedroom median was $949 last month.

Cities Ranked By Rent

The Most Expensive

Scottsdale, AZ one bedroom rent jumped $60 to $1,380 but stayed the most expensive city in the metro.

Chandler, AZ continued to rank as the second priciest with rent at $1,210.

Gilbert, AZ followed closely behind as third with rent at $1,200.

The Least Expensive

Glendale, AZ saw rent grow $40 to $840 but remain the least expensive city.

Mesa, AZ ranked as second with rent at $920.

Avondale & Phoenix, Arizona tied for the third most affordable city with one bedrooms both priced at $1,000.

Growth Rate

The Fastest Growing (Y/Y%)

Chandler, AZ had the fastest growing rent, up 15.2% since this time last year.

Goodyear, AZ saw rent climb 12.1%, making it the second fastest growing.

Glendale, AZ was third with rent growing 12%.
