Phoenix Metro Report: February 2020

The Zumper Phoenix Metro Area Report analyzed active listings in January 2020 across 13 metro cities to show the most and least expensive cities and cities with the fastest growing rents. The Arizona one bedroom median rent was $995 last month.

The Most Expensive

–Scottsdale was the most expensive city with one bedrooms priced at $1,460.

–Flagstaff rent dropped 5.2% to $1,280 and ranked as the second priciest city.

–Gilbert was third with rent at $1,260.

The Least Expensive

–Glendale ranked as the most affordable city with one bedrooms priced at $890.

–Mesa was second with rent at $920.

–Prescott saw rent jump 5.5% to $960 and rank as the third least expensive.

The Fastest Growing (Y/Y%)

–Surprise had the fastest growing rent, up 16.0% since this time last year.

–Prescott saw rent climb 14.3%, making it the second fastest growing.

–Gilbert was third with rent jumping 11.5%.

The Fastest Growing (M/M%)

–Prescott had the largest monthly rental growth rate, up 5.5%.

–Mesa rent increased 2.2% last month, making it the second fastest growing.
