Phoenix Metro Report: December 2019

The Zumper Phoenix Metro Area Report analyzed active listings in November 2019 across 14 metro cities to show the most and least expensive cities and cities with the fastest growing rents. The Arizona one bedroom median rent was $985 last month.

The Most Expensive

–Scottsdale was the most expensive city with one bedrooms priced at $1,450.

–Flagstaff rent grew 1.5% to $1,340 and ranked as the second priciest.

–Gilbert was third with rent at $1,230.

The Least Expensive

–Prescott ranked as the most affordable city with one bedrooms priced at $870.

–Glendale was second with rent at $910.

–Mesa rent grew 1.1% to $920 and ranked as the third least expensive.

The Fastest Growing (Y/Y%)

–Glendale had the fastest growing rent, up 15.2% since this time last year.

–Lake Havasu City saw rent climb 15.1%, making it the second fastest growing.

–Surprise was third with rent jumping 14.7%.

The Fastest Growing (M/M%)

–Lake Havasu City had the largest monthly rental growth rate, up 4.9%.

–Prescott rent climbed 4.8% last month, making it the second fastest growing.

–Glendale ranked as third with rent up 4.6%.
