Philly Neighborhood Rent Prices Mapped (Winter 2019)

According to our most recent national rent report, Philadelphia ranked as the 22nd most expensive city with the price of one bedroom units falling 3.5% to $1,390, while two bedrooms grew 2.4% to $1,740. Notably, on a year over year basis, two bedroom rent is up 16%.

This winter, Riverfront et Logan Square tied for the priciest neighborhood with rents both at $1,820. Old City ($1,790), Rittenhouse ($1,750), and Center City East ($1,710) followed closely behind as the next most expensive areas. Rentals priced closer to the city one bedroom median of $1,390 could be found in Queen Village, Graduate Hospital, et Fairmount.

Meanwhile, the most affordable neighborhoods, priced below the $700 threshold, included Glenwood, Fairhill, et Upper Kensington. You can also look into the north western portion of this map for a larger proportion of other inexpensive areas to rent.
