The Zumper Minneapolis Metro Area Report analyzed active listings in January 2020 across 10 metro cities to show the most and least expensive cities and cities with the fastest growing rents. The Minnesota one bedroom median rent was $1,122 last month.

The Most Expensive
–Edina was the most expensive city with one bedrooms priced at $1,430.
–Minneapolis rent grew 0.7% last month to $1,400 and ranked as the second priciest city.
–St. Louis Park was third with rent at $1,380.
The Least Expensive
–Roseville ranked as the most affordable city with one bedrooms priced at $1,030.
–Maple Grove saw rent drop 5.2% to $1,090 and rank as the second least expensive city.
–Burnsville was as third with rent at $1,100.

The Fastest Growing (Y/Y%)
–St Paul had the fastest growing rent, up 15.2% since this time last year.
–St Louis Park saw rent climb 3.8%, making it the second fastest growing.
The Fastest Growing (M/M%)
–Eden Prairie had the largest monthly rental growth rate, up 4.7%.
–Plymouth rent increased 1.7% last month, making it the second fastest growing.
–St Louis Park ranked as third with rent climbing 1.5%.
