Minneapolis Metro Report: May 2017

The Zumper Minneapolis Metro Report analyzed over 7,000 active listings in April across 13 metro cities to show the most and least expensive cities and cities with the fastest growing rents.

Minneapolis, MN continued to reign as the most expensive city to rent in the metro area. One bedroom units were priced at a median of $1,280.

Apple Valley, MN climbed up a spot this month to become the second priciest city with rent at $1,260.

Minnetonka, MN fell to third with rent at $1,240.

Coon Rapids, MN remained the least expensive city to rent with one bedroom units priced at $840.

St. Paul, MN, close behind, was the second most affordable city with rent at $900.

Burnsville, MN fell behind Bloomington this month to become the third least expensive city. Rent here was $970.

Maple Grove, MN had the fastest growing rent since this time last year, up 15.1%.

Apple Valley, MN rent had the second fastest yearly growth rate, up 14.5%.

Minnetonka, MN rent was third with a 12.7% yearly growth rate.

Bloomington, MN had the fastest growing rent since last month, up a whopping 5.4%.

Woodbury, MN, close behind Bloomington, had a monthly grow rate of 5.3%.

Maple Grove, MN rent was the third fastest growing, climbing 4.9% since last month.
