Mapping The Cheapest And Most Expensive Houston Rent Prices (March 2016)

Houston maintained position as the 21st most expensive city to rent in the U.S., coming ahead of Sacramento and Virginia Beach last month. One bedroom units increased 1% to a median of $990 and two bedroom units dropped less than 1% to a median of $1,220.

With an $1,800 median for one bedroom units, The Museum District was the most expensive neighborhood in Houston to rent last month. A few hundred dollars behind, Downtown Houston ($1,580), Greenway – Upper Kirby ($1,500), and West University Place ($1,480) were the next priciest areas.
More affordable finds, around the $700-$800 range, could be found toward the northern portion of the city. These neighborhoods included Northside Village, Northside – Northline, and Independence Heights.
