Mapping Tampa Neighborhood Rents (Summer 2018)

According to our most recent national rent report, Tampa ranked as the 35th most expensive rental market with the price of one bedrooms growing 1.8% to $1,160, while two bedrooms remained flat at $1,380. Notably, on a year over year basis, two bedroom rent is up over 12%.

While Sunset Park et Davis Islands were the fastest growing neighborhoods this quarter, both up over 14%, Port Tampa City et Sulphur Springs saw the largest rent dips, down 13% and 12%, respectively.

Harbour Island ($1,990), Downtown Tampa ($1,780), and Channelside or Channel District ($1,600) continued to reign as the priciest neighborhoods this summer. Sunset Park, Bayshore Beautiful, et Culbreath, priced between $1,400 and $1,600, followed behind as the next priciest areas. More affordable rentals, priced around the median one bedroom rent in Tampa, could be found in Tampa – Bayshore Gardens, Bayside West, et Rattlesnake.

Meanwhile, East Tampa was the most affordable area to rent.
