Mapping Seattle Rent Prices This Spring (2016)

Seattle remained the 10th most expensive city to rent in the U.S. last month. The median price for one bedrooms grew 2.9% to be $1,750, while the median price for two bedrooms dropped a slight 0.4% to $2,350. Although rent prices were fairly flat this April, Seattle’s two bedroom rents are up 14.6% year over year, making it the fourth fastest growing rental market in the nation.

The most expensive Seattle neighborhoods last month, hovering above the $2,000 threshold, were the Central Business District ($2,300), Pike Place Market ($2,200), and Belltown ($2,050). More affordable options priced below $1,500 were found in near North Beacon Hill, Madrona, and Southeast Magnolia.
